Potential, a word of encouragement!

Potential

This past weekend Brian, Kayte, Jessica, along with our friends in Oklahoma witnessed what we have always known to be true. The potential that we have seen for so many years, coming alive on the basketball court, Patrick, our son, starting his first collegiate game!

I think we all can relate to this type of event. Whether from a parent’s standpoint, a teachers, a boss, a manager, a friend. We see others potential, and become their biggest fan, their encourager.

Now, just imagine how our heavenly Father sees our potential. From the very beginning of time, He knows what we are capable of, and He is our biggest fan. I go back to Psalm 139:

13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!

How often we don’t see our own potential, but God does! From the beginning of time, He has orchestrated who we are. Our abilities, our passion, our purpose, our heart, our dreams, our goals.

But so often we have been de-railed. Satan has been speaking a different course for us. We cannot stop it by ourselves, but God can. And with our cheerleaders on our sidelines, we can achieve His purpose in our lives.

Live your life to your fullest potential. Like Christine Caine has said: “Stop making what someone did to you greater than what Jesus did for you.”

Believe what others see in you, it’s just a glimpse of what God knows to be true!

love you all!

Kay
