Yesterday was a big day for me. I had a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce to commemorate the official grand opening of my new business, Transformational Leadership and Coaching, TLC for short!

I’ve written before about becoming a certified John Maxwell Speaker, Coach and Trainer. I have to say, it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself and my personal growth. I have learned an incredible amount of insightful information about leadership and how to add value to others to help them chase after excellence. I’ve already begun coaching clients, and I absolutely love it! Helping people find their true purpose and reach their full potential is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.

My natural curiosity pushed me to search the internet to find out how the whole ribbon cutting ceremony was born. Ribbon cuttings, I discovered, have long been traditional components of European wedding ceremonies. In France, the bride cuts ribbons that have been stretched across the road as her groom escorts her to the church, which symbolizes the couple overcoming obstacles together.

Hmmm, overcoming obstacles together…sounds a lot like what TLC is all about! That’s also what this blog is about, overcoming and dealing with the trials of life, faith, family…you name it. And the key word is TOGETHER! We are not meant to do life alone. God knew it from the beginning when He created Adam and quickly said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.”

Let’s face it, together we are so much better! Click to Tweet

Or as John Maxwell says, Teamwork makes the dream work!

I love dreaming, and I especially love dreaming and casting vision with others. I hate settling for the status quo. That’s too static and boring! I get energized when I push myself and others beyond our comfort zones because that’s the only place true growth comes from.

Is there a place in your life where God is asking you to go beyond your comfort zone? Are you feeling the need for some change and growth in your life?

If you are, I would love to come alongside you in your journey and help you break free from complacency! TLC is here to help you do just that!

To help inspire you, I invite anyone who lives in this area to come to a free lunch and learn on Wednesday, June 15. I will be videotaping my keynote entitled “Writing the Song of Your Life,” and I need an audience! There is no charge to attend. See the link below for more details.

Hugs and love,
