Writing the Song of Your Life
Blog – 8-7-19 First of all, let me apologize for the fact that this blog will be one of the only blogs you will ever receive from me that is promoting something! As those of you who have been reading this for a while know, I rarely, if ever, promote things on this platform. I do, however, feel called to share an exciting new project with you today. I have recently released my very first online course entitled “Writing the Song of Your Life.” It’s a course designed to help you discover and live out your unique, God-given purpose…..with a musical twist! It will help you answer the question, “What on earth am I here for?” My friend, I have NEVER worked so hard on anything in my life! Writing and developing this course was harder than writing my book. I have poured my heart and soul into it; and I have drawn from my training as a Coach, my own personal experience, my leadership training, and of course, the Bible. I am very proud of how the course turned out, and I’m so excited to share it with the world. The premise of the course is this: Imagine you’re sitting on the deck with your friends and family, all the people you love, having a cookout and the song of your life is playing on the radio for the world to hear. Your life is a song and everyone is listening. Do you want to turn it up or turn it off? Do you like it? Do you love it? If you don’t like how it sounds, it’s time to rewrite it! I’m SO passionate about this because it took me a VERY long time to start living into my own unique calling. I felt God’s calling on my heart to do music ministry for years, but I ignored the prompts and nudges of the Holy Spirit. I found every excuse in the book NOT to do what I KNEW God was calling me to. Once I finally stepped into my purpose, I discovered firsthand how fulfilling and rewarding it is to be doing exactly what God has created you for. There’s literally no better feeling in the world. And I want YOU to experience that same thing! Let me assure you, I am not saying that every one of you reading this has to quit your job and go into full-time ministry. Not at all! Some of you may be led down that path, but the vast majority of you won’t. I do know, however, that discovering and living out your purpose, whatever that is for you, provides the following benefits:
Satisfaction of knowing you are doing exactly what God has called you to do
Confidence that’s found in knowing who you were created to be
Renewed focus of your precious time and energy
Simplified decision-making because you know exactly what to say no to and what to say yes to
More meaning to your life knowing you are serving God well
Reduction in your stress – Work doesn’t feel like work when it’s what you love!
1 Thessalonians 2:4 says, “Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.” I challenge you to examine the motives of your everyday schedule. Are you living up to your greatest potential? Are you truly living out your purpose? Are you serving God in the best possible way? I believe purpose plus passion equals our greatest potential, and I would love the opportunity to come alongside you on that journey. As an added bonus to the course, you also get a free coaching call with me. If you are interested in this for yourself personally or if there’s someone you know who is struggling with identifying next steps in life, PLEASE share this course with them. I am offering a $50 discount to anyone who signs up through this blog. Just email me that you want to sign up, and I will email you a discount code.
